Drumstick-shaped rolls have ground pork and cabbage and minced carrots fillings. Black pepper and star anise are used for seasoning.

Where is it from?

Since rural villages suffered from economic issues, the women rolled ground pork and vegetables, and made it look like chicken drumsticks to coax their children into eating it. That is where the drumstick-shaped roll comes from.

How do you prepare it?

Drumstick-shaped rolls have copious amounts of cabbage and minced carrots to reduce or replace the use of fish paste. Then drumstick-shaped rolls are seasoned by black pepper and star anise. The size of the roll is the same as a drumstick.

Where do you buy it?

Drumstick-shaped rolls are a local food in Rueifang, New Taipei City and Yilan County. Drumstick-shaped rolls in Luodong Night Market are quite famous as well.
